Suggestions?
A necessity that I always pack when traveling is a great book.
Let me rephrase that - several books!
These come in handy when "stuck on the tarmac in Las Vegas for a couple of hours."
That book kept me from having a panic attack a.k.a. "Let me off this plane!"
I've ordered the following from Amazon:
Social Crimes - Jane Hitchcock
One Dangerous Lady - Jane Hitchcock
I Gave You My Heart, but You Sold It Online - Dixie Cash
I welcome more suggestions.
Give me those "books that you can't put down"
and/or
"make you just giggle till it hurts."
xoxo

12 Priceless Preppy Remarks!:
Sadly I have not been able to do any reading in about forever so I have no suggestions!
I love Mary Kay Andrews!
You'll love Jane Stanton Hitchcock! :)
I agree on the Francine Rivers- Redeeming Love. I've read it several times and can NOT put it down. David Baldacci write fabulous suspense stuff. He writes in series so make sure to get in on the beginning. Debbie McComber (sp) writes wonderful "life" kind of stuff. Great character development. Also a series writer. If you jump in on a later one, there is too much to follow.
I enjoyed Social Crimes. Right now I am reading Holly and Homicide by Leslie Caine. It is the 7th (I think) in a series of murder mysteries. The main characters are interior designers. I also enjoy the Tea Shop mysteries by Laura Childs and the Savanah Reid mysteries by G. A. McKevitt. I picture Delta Burke playing Savanah Reid in a TV series.
You can't go wrong with anything by David Sedaris or the book Eat, Pray, Love! I highly, repeat, HIGHLY recommend The Time Traveler's Wife. Amazing!
Celia Rivenbark is a good Southern humor writer. You will definitely find yourself laughing out loud over some of her stories.
Don't miss The Help by Kathleen Stockett!
All of the Janet Evanovich books with Stephanie Plum are so funny! I read 10 of them over Christmas break one year. Such easy reads and so funny.
I agree! Redeeming Love is a page-turner and classic one.
Also, not on the mystery genre, is "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I can't put it down each time I read it. :)
I love Mary Kay Andrews!

Well, in spring of 2010 I hope you'll read "False Victim" by Kathie Truitt. Wait! That's me! (wink).
